China has become the focus of food and milk scandals over the years. This is probably the reason why most people cannot easily grasp the idea that China can produce something as great as a plug-in vehicle. In fact, BYD’s F6DM is the first sedan to hit the production plants and has been showcased on auto shows.
The availability of F6DM marked the start of a new class, which should have been pioneered by General Motors. There is no reason to fret though because the F6DM sports a combined electric motor and a liter capable gasoline engine that can generate as much as 168 horsepower! 
BYD’s unveiling of F6DM is surprising. The battery and electric motor manufacturer have hinted not too good to make the automobile market realize they are serious in their plans. In fact, the automobile world is bracing for General Motor’s electric automobile plans. Turns out, BYD lead the American and European automobile makers into a new dimension of efficient vehicle designing and manufacturing.
The surprising twist is one of the reasons why some people take the most sensational happening in the market a gambit for the Chinese manufacturer. Some critics also take the unveiling as a fine maneuver of the Chinese government to cover up all the scandals they have endured over the years.
The melamine and milk scandals that rocked the globe have definitely earned so much hate and anger the Chinese government can amass. Unveiling something as great as F6DM is just what they need to stir the world’s attention.
